Your gift of $25 will help provide two fresh meals for a survivor in emergency housing
To follow social distancing guidelines, we moved families who were living at The Village shelter into alternative housing, so they can practice social distancing while healing from violence. While still closely connected to our advocates and in a safe place, many of them have limited access to full kitchens and the comfort fresh prepared meals can bring. With your gift, CWS is supporting survivors and also small businesses in the community.
Your gift of $50 will help provide one family with internet for a month
Because of COVID-19, we’ve adapted our service delivery model. Our 24/7 support line provides a direct connection to available services; our systems of delivery expanded to include chat, and now SMS text so survivors can connect from home more discreetly. Virtual programming now includes case management, counseling, group therapy, children’s programming, mental health activities, violence prevention, and more.
Your gift of $100 will help shelter a survivor for a night in alternative housing
We moved swiftly to provide alternative emergency shelter with safe physical distancing for those fleeing violence, as well as temporary lodging for survivors who lack safe housing. This is crucial because instances of interpersonal violence are increasing as stay home mandates – and the resulting isolation they create– are projected to stretch on for some time longer. We are housing twice as many survivors as usual, and more requests for shelter keep arriving
Your gift of $500 will help feed a survivor for a month
As well as provide wrap-around services like case management, counseling services, and parenting support groups, and provide internet service so these resources can be accessed virtually, and so children can continue their education.
