Who Are The 2011 Honorees?

2011 Tribute Awards

Up to three awards annually are given to individuals and/or organizations that
have the courage and
compassion to increase awareness about domestic and/or
sexual violence.  In addition, the honorees provide support for women
who are experiencing violence. This year the awards go to:

 

  • Women’s Health Center of Oregon (WHCO) for their vision and compassion in serving the reproductive health needs of all women in Clackamas County, regardless of financial circumstances.

  • Alexis Del Cid, anchor/reporter for KOIN Local 6, for her ability to envision change in our society and the courage to use her media presence and reporting skills to call public attention to sexual trafficking issues in our community.

 

2011 Triumph Award

The Triumph Award celebrates one amazing woman who have represent courage as she has overcome the effects of domestic violence, the vision creating a successful and fulfilling life and the compassion giving  back to her community.
This year our Hero is:

 

  • Patti Hoag, owner of Lake Oswego Jewelers, for her courage in overcoming difficult circumstances, her visionary leadership in her community and her continual compassion in serving others.

 

 2011 Ally Award

We honor this Hero as one individual who courageously and compassionately dedicate their professional careers or personal volunteer time to mitigating violence against women.   This year we will celebrate the work of :

 

  • Mike Wells, Founder of The Cedar Group, for his on-going efforts engaging men, county-wide organizations, the business community, and law enforcement as deterrents to domestic and sexual violence.
