2013 Triumph Award

The Triumph Award celebrates the amazing women who have the courage to overcome the effects of domestic violence and/or sexual violence, the vision to make a successful and fulfilling life, and the compassion giving back to her community.
This year we will honor:

Survivor and Filmmaker
Mary Knight

Celebrating her courage and creativity to tell her story of triumph.  Having survived physical and sexual abuse as a child and verbal and emotional abuse in her adulthood, Mary has moved forward to establish a healthy, fulfilling life, free of violence.   and has gone on to live a full and fulfilling life.  As a film maker, Mary tells her personal story of the nature of domestic violence.  Through her film, One Man’s Anger, One Woman’s Love, she offers a different perspective; an insightful and compassionate account that illustrates how violence isn't just physical.  Through her work, Mary has given a new voice to those who are often voiceless, helping us all to understand the experience of intimate partner abuse.
